Automatic CNC machine tending with aluminium castings – inserting raw pieces and disposal of threated pieces.

Characteristics:

  • implementation of a communication interface between the robot cell and CNC machining centre
  • buffer of input pieces is made with drawer on pallets, which allows positioning in three positions: inserting pieces on pallets by worker, neutral position, withdrawing pieces by robot 
  • input buffer is adapted to four types of pieces – two types of pallets, each type of pallet is for two types of pieces
  • prevent improper disposal of pieces to the input buffer by the worker – poka-yoke
  • possibility of easy upgrading the input buffer to the new type of pieces
  • robot gripper is adapted to handling four types of pieces
  • automatic operating of robot cell, while worker is filling input buffer with raw pieces on the other side of drawer
  • 2 hours of autonomy
  • protecting worker from injuries with light curtains and barriers
  • checking the fixture of pieces in processing centre
  • cleaning pieces after treatment in the liquid (water bath) and blowing with compressed air
  • possibility of upgrading the robot cell by adding different stations
